Cosmin Haias will hold an introductive lecture about the space of corporeality and imposing limits on it. The presentation will open with the observation of a need of creativity in order to understand the body’s architecture. He will discuss the dichotomy of being, the body in the philosophic world and in the virtual/augmented reality with the help of a brief demonstration of objects belonging to the world of bodies and obtaining a non-limiting character.
Cosmin proposes an analysis of corporeality and incorporeality in the world of music, theater, film and visual arts, focusing on the notion of “Automata” or the intermediary world, a closeness to the technological thinking. Cosmin will talk about the futuristic theory “The Law of Accelerating Returns” by Ray Kurzweil, presenting his well-known digital installation S.E.P.O.C. (Soft Embedded Poems Creator), transforming images in poetry, music and dance.
Furthermore the lecture will make an introduction into the invented body and the constructed body, CNC machines and the symmetric relationship between Plato’s forms and the “new forms”. The presentation will end with a Q & A session.
Cosmin Haias is invited in the context of the second edition of X Platform, organized by 4Culture Association, in coproduction with WASP – Working Art Space and Production, Tangaj Dance and Life Long Burning, in collaboration with ExperimentalProject and curated by Olivia Nitis and Ciprian Ciuclea.
