WASP offers the best conditions for contemporary art exhibitions, dance, theatre and music performances, conferences and festival events for 80-100 participants, workshops and yoga classes for 40 participants. The space also includes dressing rooms and showers, office rooms and lobby area.
The independent space WASP Working Art Space and Production, was opened in September 2012 in the New Times (Timpuri Noi) area in Bucharest, Romania. Located in the factory, Flaros, on Ion Minulescu street, having a surface area of 500 m2 completely renovated and converted into a centre of contemporary art, education and research, WASP consists of two studios (White box and Black box), dedicated to public events, a Media Lab including office area and a Lounge room for networking and coworking. The two studios are furnished and equipped for shows and performances, installations, conferences, project rehearsals, new media and film screenings.
The modern facilities of the space, including appliances, lighting, stage, sound system & video, projection screens of different sizes, the rug, the dance floor, Buetec audience tribune and chairs. Studios of 90 m2 (white box) and 200 m2 (black box). The Media Lab is equipped with the latest equipment to record video and audio, designed for the production and research of film and video.
WASPS Studios cooperates at the local, national and international level, developing strategic partnerships, through which it supports the production and promotion of contemporary arts, organises and hosts residencies, workshops, discussions, productions and presentations.


eXplore festival – Bucharest International Contemporary Performance art Festival, the Biennale of Contemporary Photography, the International Experimental Engraving Biennale, X Platform, Foreign bodies, Life Long Burning, Emerging Towards (Future), Exploring Plurealities, Lockout Stereotypes, are just a few of the most important events organised at WASP.
