Embodied Culture in Motion – artistic interventions in Venice, Forte Marghera

4Culture Association, in partnership with Live Arts Cultures (Italy), is organising between 1-4 September 2025 a series of artistic interventions, performances in public spaces and video projections as part of the Venere in Teatro festival in Venice.
The “Emodied Culture in Motion” programme brings together artists and works from Romania and the Republic of Moldova – Tatiana Fiodorova, Ghenadie Popescu, Matei Bejenaru, Andreea Căpitănescu and Corneliu Ganea – who explore through art current themes such as participatory democracy, the relationship between the body and nature, the condition of the artist under the communist regime or the fragility of contemporary ecosystems.
Projects include:
– A Human Song (coordinator Chiara Frigo, with the participation of artists Tatiana Fiodorova, Ghenadie Popescu) – through a “choreographic score” artists and local communities come together to share collective creative paths. The project embodies in a performance the need for change that every human being brings and aims to activate processes of generation, care and temporary community inclusion.
– Collective Carpet (Tatiana Fiodorova) – a participatory carpet woven with the local community, a symbol of unity and collective responsibility;
– Trees (Tatiana Fiodorova) – performance and living sculpture inspired by shamanic rituals and meditation;
– Embodied Tides (Andreea Căpitănescu & Corneliu Ganea) – site-specific performance and video-performance;
– Food Chain (Ghenadie Popescu) – video-performance about trophic relationships and fragility of the body;
– ABIS (Matei Bejenaru) – film-essay about the destiny of the artist Irinel Liciu, first soloist of the Romanian Opera in the 50s and 60s.
The activities in September continue the 4Culture association’s endeavour within the “Embodied Culture in Motion” project to develop new cooperation processes with cultural operators and local artists in Italy, after the participation of the team members in Venice Open Stage and Venice International Performance Art Week (June-July 2025).
This project is co-funded by the Romanian Cultural Institute, through the Cantemir Programme – a funding programme for cultural projects for the international environment.

The Romanian Cultural Institute is not responsible for the content of the project or how the project results may be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the beneficiary.
