Programul de coaching își propune articularea unui concept scurt în care artiștii participanți își creionează ideile proprii pe care doresc să le realizeze sau să le cerceteze.

Vom lucra împreună în sesiuni de 1 cu 1, vom acorda feedback colectiv (oral, scris și fizic) și nu vor lipsi discuțiile de bucătărie. În cele ce urmează vom dezvolta un format potrivit pentru o prezentare publică care va permite fiecărui artist să-și comunice propriul concept, propria cercetare și procesul de realizare al lor.
Martin Sonderkamp vine în scena dansului contemporan cu un background sportiv, de artă vizuală și muzică. A absolvit Școala de Dezvoltare a Noului Dans în 1995. Creațiile sale, solo sau colaborări cu performeri, coregrafi, muzicieni și artiști vizuali, au fost prezentate în Europa și Statele Unite. În ceea ce privește improvizația, Martin Sonderkamp a performat alături de artiști precum Steve Paxton, Katie Duck, Meg Stuart, Nina Martin, Amanda Miller, David Zambrano, Julyen Hamilton, Benoit Lachambre, David Hernandez, KJ Homes, Alexander Baerevoet și mulți alții. Cele mai recente creații ale sale sunt Approximations (2015) și Task 14 (2014) , ambele realizate în colaborare cu artistul vizual și regizorul de film Darko Dragicevic, precum și proiectul de cercetare Patches(2012-2013) și expoziția Social Movement (2012).

Ca professor, Martin Sonderkamp a lucrat alături de alții la Cullberg Ballet; Sasha Waltz și invitații; Pretty Ugly/Ballett Freiburg; The Danish Dance Theatre; SNDO; EDDC/ArtEz Arnhem; SEAD; HZT Berlin; DOCH; Dansehallerne Copenhagen; Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul; Movement Research, NY; Tanzquartier Wien; CI Festival, Tokyo; Festivalul de Improvizație de la Seoul. Din 2011, Martin Sonderkamp este profesor asociat la Centrul pentru Dans Contemporan din cadrul Universității de Muzică și Dans Cologne.
The coaching aims at the articulation of a short concept in which the participating artists sketch out their individual idea which they would like to research and realize.

GROWASP este un program intensive de educație și formare culturală în domeniul artelor performative contemporane inițiat de WASP Studios în parteneriat cu Asociația 4Culture. Programul cuprinde workshop-uri, invitați speciali, prezentări periodice, sesiune de feedback, oportunități de formare în București și străinătate, rezidențe artistice și acces la producții naționale și internaționale.

German Jauregui
(Bilbao, Spain 1972)

Este regizor, coregraf, dansator și pedagog stabilit la Bruxelles. Timp de 10 ani, German a lucrat cu compania Ultima Vez/ Wim Vandekeybus; Ca dansator, a fost implicat în creația și turneul pieselor: “In spite of wishing and wanting” (1999), “Inasmuch as life is borrowed” (2000), “What the body does not remember” (Revival of 2002), “Blush” (2002), “Sonic Boom” (2003), “Puur” (2005), “Spiegel” (2006), și în filmele de dans: “In spite of wishing and wanting” (2002), “Blush” (2005), “Here after” (2007), precum și în a scurt metrajelor: “The last words “(1999),
“Inasmuch…” (2000). A fost asistent de mișcare în piesele “Scratching the inner fields” (2001) și “NieuwZwart” (2009).
În 2014 și 2015 a fost în turneu cu piesa “What the body does not remember”, ca performer.

Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus

De asemenea, a colaborat cu Loïc Touze, Idoia Zabaleta/Moare danza, Eolo Teatro, Deabru Beltza și a participat la proiectul internațional Sites of imagination (2007) și filmul documentar „Los caminos de la memoria” (2009), regizat de Jose Luis Peñafuente.
În 2007, a început să dezvolte propriile creații solo „Isaac”, ce a avut premiera în cadrul festivalului Trayectos, Zaragoza (Spania), precum și duo-ul creat alături de Laura Aris “Y del resto no se nada”, ce a avut premiera la festivalul Dias de Danza, de la Barcelona.
În 2009, a creat „Sunset on Mars”, care a avut premiera la festivalul Julidans (Amsterdam), și 2013 „Confession”, prezentat la Tanzhaus-Zurich.
A fost invitat în calitate de coregraf să participe la creația pieselor „Esbozo” (2010), Mixico, „Testamento” (2010) Festival EINCE 2010, Guadalajara, Mexico și “Tres silencios” (2011) pentru compania spaniolă Date Danza, ce a avut premiera în cadrul Festivalului FEX de la Granada, Spania.
În paralel, ține cursuri și seminarii în toată lumea (workshop-urile Ultima Vez, Impulstanz în Viena, Atelier de Paris / Carolyn Carlson, Circuit-est in Montreal…).Laboratorul de creație is a free coaching programme organized within the the GROWASP project, which will be held by Martin Sonderkamp & German Jauregui, as invited by artistic director of 4Culture Association and curator of eXplore festival, Andreea Căpitănescu.

Martin Sonderkamp

We will work together in the form of 1 on 1 sessions, collective feedback (orally, written and physical), kitchen talks and discussions. We will furthermore develop an appropriate format for a public presentation to allow each artist to communicate their individual concept, their research and their process of realization.

Martin Sonderkamp came to contemporary dance with a background in sports, visual arts and music. He graduated from the School for New Dance Development in 1995. His own works, soli and collaborations with performers, choreographers, musicians and visual artists, have been shown in Europe and the US. In the field of improvisation, Martin Sonderkamp has performed alongside artists such as Steve Paxton, Katie Duck, Meg Stuart, Nina Martin, Amanda Miller, David Zambrano, Julyen Hamilton, Benoit Lachambre, David Hernandez, KJ Homes, Alexander Baerevoet and many others. His most recent works include Approximations (2015) and Task 14 (2014) , both realized in collaboration with visual artists and film director Darko Dragicevic, the research project Patches(2012-2013) and the exhibition Social Movement (2012).

German Jauregui

German Jauregui is a director, choreographer, dancer and pedagogue based in Brussels.

During 10 years (1998-2008) he worked with the company Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus;
as a dancer in the creation and touring of the pieces: “In spite of wishing and wanting” (1999), “Inasmuch as life is borrowed” (2000), ““What the body does not remember” (Revival of 2002), “Blush” (2002), “Sonic Boom” (2003), “Puur” (2005), “Spiegel” (2006), and in the dance films: “In spite of wishing and wanting” (2002), “Blush” (2005), “Here after” (2007), and in the short-films: “The last words “(1999), “Inasmuch…” (2000). He was movement assistance in the pieces “Scratching the inner fields” (2001) and “NieuwZwart” (2009). In 2014 and 2015 he performs in the tour of the piece “What the body does not remember”

GROWASP – Ground for Research and Orientation is an intensive programme of education and cultural training in the field of contemporary performative arts, intiated by WASP Studios in partnership with 4Culture Association. The programme includes workshops, special guests, public presentations, feedback sessions, opportunities for abroad training, artistic residencies and access to national and international productions.
