WASP — Working Art Space and Production sprijină tinerii creatori, studenți și absolvenți ai UNATC, prin implicarea acestora în diferite programe și proiecte, precum și prin oferirea gratuită a spațiului necesar pentru creație și prezentare.
Astfel, vă invităm să descoperiți cei mai tineri absolvenți ai secției de coregrafie a UNATC, motivați și dornici să performeze în spațiul cultural românesc. Cele trei spectacole sunt producții UNATC, dezvoltate sub coordonarea prof. univ. dr. Raluca Ianegic și prof. dr. Valentina de Piante Niculae.

Natura umană este un spectacol care pune față în față natura socială a omului cu cea metafizică pe de o parte, și cea animală pe de altă parte, totul în încercarea de a scoate la iveală caracteristicile fundamentale ale omului de pretutindeni. Care sunt modurile de gândire, simțire și modalitățile de acționare pe care oamenii au tendința de a le avea în mod natural, independent de influența culturii? Poate că ceea ce ne deosebește cel mai mult față de alte specii este instincul de transcendere. Visul, arta, magia, dansul, dragostea, mistica — toate mărturisesc acest instinct fundamental al firii omenești.
Performerii par a fi controlați din exterior cu ajutorul unei telecomenzi sau, din contră, manevrați de forțe organice plecate din interior. În căutarea propriei naturi, ei se teleportează brusc de la un moment la altul, dintr-un spațiu în altul, dintr-un personaj în altul.
Spectacolul a obținut premiul pentru cea mai bună coregrafie în cadrul ALT – Concurs Național de Coregrafie 2014 și la Gala Absolvenților UNATC 2014.

Acum este un spectacol care vorbește despre percepție și despre crearea lumii în fiecare în mod unic, despre lumea văzută și interpretată ca succesiune de jocuri, dar care nu scapă nici el la rândul lui regulilor percepției. Acum se creează dintr-un „dans al simțurilor și al minții spectatorului” și vorbește despre o lume trăită în același mod.
Spectacolul s-a născut din nevoia de a aduce invizibilul pe scena și s-a construit prin procesele de căutare și negare desfășurate în paralel. El pune o serie de întrebări fundamentale despre existența umană și este departe de a avea pretenția unui răspuns.
Spectacolul vorbește:
• Despre adevarul care stă în sinceritatea energiei investite;
• Despre faptul că unele lucruri nu pot fi înțelese sau explicate;
• Despre naivitatea care ne îmbogățește și la care nu vrem să renunțăm;
• Despre faptul că suntem capabili de orice;
• Despre frumusețea care stă în ochii celui care privește și puterea lui de a transforma realitatea;
• Despre faptul că nu suntem o formă fixă și nu putem fi cuprinși în definiții;
• Despre ascultarea propriei intuiții, a corpului și a mesajor primite de la el aici și acum, ca ancoră și modalitate de orientare în confuzia gândurilor.
Spectacolul a obținut premiul pentru cea mai bună coregrafie la Gala Absolvenților UNATC 2014.

Am facut un pact, ne-am luat ghiozdanul în spate și am plecat în goană după identități. Am probat multe, umblam din magazin în magazin și din stradă în stradă; totul era idilic, ea era lângă mine în toate acele momente, fie că erau de singurătate, extaz, confuzie sau rușine. Când era supărată pe mine mă strângea și știam că are dreptate… câteodată o disprețuiam, dar voiam să o accept cu fiecare cicatrice…
Noi, oamenii, în majoritate, ne identificăm cu propria reflexie din oglindă, cu corpul fizic învelit în pielea sa, pe care, cu fiecare zi ce trece, se imprimă o pagină dintr-o poveste. Astfel, ne putem privi corpurile citind poveștile pe care acestea le evocă! Dar cum rămâne cu sentimentul de înstrăinare, când nu te regăsești pe tine însuți și simți că participi la un maraton, uneori sprint, care nu are linie de sosire? În această fugă continuă, în acest joc social, te trezești de fiecare dată într-un alt „înveliș”, făcând parte dintr-un alt tablou, însoțit de alte personaje, fiecare „dansându-te” prin toate stările, oferindu-ți noi și noi identități. Fiecăruia dintre noi i s-a întâmplat să audă, să gândească sau să verbalizeze sintagma „pune-te în pielea mea!”. Dorința încrâncenată de a ne regăsi propria identitate, unicitatea, ne face să experimentăm aceste „învelișuri”, în speranța că vom atinge forma/modelul/matrița arhietipală a creației.16.11.2014 / 19:00 / WASP

WASP — Working Art Space and Production supports young creators, UNATC students and graduates, by involving them in various programs and projects, as well as by offering free necessary space for creation and presentation.
Thus, we invite you to discover the newest, most motivated and willing to perform generation of UNATC choreography graduates in the Romanian cultural space. The three performances are UNATC productions, developed under the coordination of univ. dr. Raluca Ianegic and prof. dr. Valentina de Piante Niculae.

Human Nature is a performance that confronts human social and metaphysical nature on one side, and the animal nature on the other, in a trial to unveil human fundamental characteristics everywhere. Which are the ways of thought, feeling and action that people have the natural tendency of having, independently from the influence of culture? Perhaps, what separates us most from other species is the instinct to transcend. Dreams, art, magic, dance, love, mysticism — all witness this fundamental instinct of human nature.
The performers seem to be controlled from the outside, by the means of a remote control or, contrary, moved by inner, organic forces. In search of their own nature, they suddenly teleport from one moment to the other, from one space to another, from one character to another.
The performance won the best choreography award in ALT — The National Contest of Choreography 2014 and at the UNATC Alumni Gala 2014.

Now is a performance that speaks about perception and about how each creates their own, unique world, about the world as it is seen and interpreted as a succession of games that do not escape the rules of perception. Now is created from a “dance of the beholder’s senses and mind” and talks about a world lived as such.
This performance was born from the need of bringing the invisible on stage and was built through both searching and denial processes at the same time. It asks a series of fundamental questions about human existence and is far from claiming to have found an answer.
The performance speaks:
• About the truth that lays in the sincerity of the invested emotion,
• About the fact that some things cannot be understood or explained,
• About the naivete that enriches us and that we do not want to let go,
• About the fact that we are capable of anything,
• About the beauty that lays in the eyes of the beholder and in his power to change reality,
• About the fact that we are not a fixed form and we cannot be comprised in definitions,
• About listening to your own intuition, body and the messages it sends here and now, as an anchor and means of orientation in the confusion of thoughts.
The performance received the prize for best choreography at the UNATC Alumni Gala 2014.

We made a pact, packed our bags and left running for identities. We tried on many, we were walking from shop to shop and from street to street; everything was heavenly, she was beside me in all those moments, of either loneliness, ecstasy, confusion or shame. When she was upset, she would hold me close and I knew that she was right… sometimes I despised her, but I wanted to accept her with each of her scars…
The majority of us people, identify with our own mirrored reflection, with the physical body wrapped in its skin, over which a new story imprints itself with each day that goes by. Thus, we can watch our bodies by reading the stories that they evoke! But what about that feeling of estrangement, when you can’t find yourself and feel as if participating in a marathon, sometimes sprinting, without reaching any finish line? In this continuous fugue, in this social game, you wake up in a different “shell” each time, becoming part of a different picture, accompanied by different characters, each of them “dancing” you through all the feelings, offering you new identities. Each of us either heard, thought or said the saying “put yourself in my skin”!
The fierce desire to find our own identity, uniqueness, makes us experience these “shells” in the hope that we will achieve the archetypal shape / model / mold of creation.
