Scurtmetraje Cinedans
Cinedans – Dance on Screen Festival este unic – în Olanda și în toată lumea. Punctul central al festivalului este filmul de dans. În viziunea Cinedans, filmul ideal de dans este o sinteză între două medii: dansul și cinematografia. Cinedans pune accentul pe coregrafii create special pentru cameră și pe adaptări ale sepectacolelor de dans existente, special concepute pentru film. De asemenea, festivalul prezintă o selecție de documentare și retrospective speciale. Aproximativ 60 de filme din întreaga lume vor fi ecranizate în cadrul festivalului anul acesta. În afara programului de filme, Cinedans organizează lectures, dezbateri și workshop-uri pentru profesioniști, și pentru toți cei interesați.
În peisajul media ce este mereu în schimbare, creatorii sunt într-o permanentă căutare a noilor modalități de a-și spune poveștile. Odată cu apariția noilor mijloace media și a tehnologiei moderne, au început să apară alte posibilități și percepții. Filmul de dans nu mai este considerat doar „mișcare pe un fundal negru”, ci se dezvoltă în prezent în noi direcții, incluzând instalații, video, proiecte interactive și multe altele. Filmele de dans contemporan sunt cel mai adesea lucări de artă autonome, care au un limbaj propriu și o expresivitate complexă.
Cinedans organizează de asemenea Cinedans on Tour, călătorind în toată lumea pentru a prezenta ecranizări cu selecții din programul de film. Programul turului include adesea ateliere și lectures pentru profesioniști.

Spin-off al al performance-ului Simple Events (2011).
Melkin investighează dinamica fundamentală a acținilor umane, a convingerilor, condițiilor și a imaginației. În film, dansatorii folosesc mișcări fie rapide, fie lente, fie pe orizontală, fie în mod discontinuu, dar de fiecare dată lipsite de gravitație.
2. Frictions

Un danstor de arte marțiale și cadre statice formează un duet energic. Realizat la departamentul de animație al Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs din Paris.

După-amiaza, după ce căldura înabușitoare a zilei a trecut, un trib prinde viață într-o animație care depășește orice așteptare.

Doi oameni stau unul lângă celălalt. Imediat după, ei se regăsesc altundeva, într-un spațiu intermediar.

Viața este o luptă zilnică, însă acest dansator înfruntă un veritabil atac violent. El își găsește refugiu în contactul uman.

Acest cuplu neobișnuit aduce un element nou într-un dans pasional, iar spate în spate devine noul obraz lângă obraz în această lume a cyber-legăturilor. Dansând împreună, încrederea reciprocă crește și în final se întâlnesc față în față. Oare ies scântei? Sau se produce un scurt circuit?

Ritmul de viață extrem de lent al rolelor de scotch este prezentat într-un spațiu izolat unde totul pornește de la o compoziție simetrică. Forța gravitațională cauzează treptat deviații în această ordine prestabilită, conducând la forme și mișcări neprevăzute care, cu toate acestea, par familiare.

14. Lil Buck

Dansatorul Lil Buck se mișcă cu o fluiditate ce pare ireală. Filmul duce mișcarea cu un pas înainte. Vestimentația (Givenchy de Richardo Tisci și Conauistador) și styling-ul (Tracey Nicholson) sunt bogate, iar decorul îi permite să sfideze gravitatea.

Cinedans
Dance on Screen Festival is unique – in the Netherlands and in the world. The central focus of the festival is on dance film. Cinedans sees the ideal dance film as a true synthesis between the two media of dance and cinematography. At Cinedans the emphasis lies on choreographies created specifically for the camera and on special film adaptations of existing dance performances. The festival also features a selection of special documentaries and retrospectives. Approximately 60 films from all over the world will be screened at this year’s festival. In addition to the film programme, Cinedans festival organizes readings, debates and workshops for professionals and other interested parties.
In the ever- ‐changing media landscape, creators are increasingly seeking different ways to tell their stories. New media and modern technology have entered the scene bringing new possibilities and insights. Dance film is no longer ‘movement on the black screen’, with new forms being developed such as installations, video clips, interactive projects and more. Contemporary dance films are often autonomous art works with a language of their own and an expressiveness that cannot be pigeonholed. Cinedans closely follows these movements. In addition to the film programme, the festival focuses on various forms of crossover projects and media installations that involve movement. Cinedans also organises Cinedans on Tour, travelling all over the world to screen selections from its film programme. Workshops and lectures for professionals are often part of the touring programme.

Spin-off work from the dance performance Simple Events (2011). Meklin investigates the fundamental dynamics of human actions, beliefs, conditions and imagination. In the film his dancers move faster, slower, in a more horizontal or discontinuous way end above all: free from gravitation.

This quirky couple puts a twist on the sultry dance, and back-to-back becomes the new cheek-to-cheek in this world of cyber connections. Feeling each other out, hope builds and they finally meet eye-to-eye. Do sparks fly? Or is there a short circuit?

The extremely slow-paced life of sticky tape is revealed in an isolated space where everything starts from a symmetric composition. The force of gravity gradually causes deviations in this orderly state, leading to in unpredictable shapes and movements that nonetheless feel familiar.

Dancer Lil Buck moves with great fluidity, it can seem almost unreal. The film is taking this a step further. Clothes (Givenchy by Richardo Tisci and Conquistador) and styling (Tracey Nicholson) are rich, the set allows him to defy gravity.
