Atelier Contemporary Dance Fusion, Judith State
Atelierul condus de Judith State se adresează tuturor celor pasionați să exploreze dansul contemporan și formele sale adiacente.
„Lucrând de-a lungul timpului la WASP cu oameni care au pornit dintr-un punct 0 întâlnirea cu dansul contemporan și observând la aceștia o capacitate de adaptare și o evoluție remarcabilă, am hotărât să continui seria de ateliere printr-un nou modul în care materialul să fie structurat progresiv, abordat mai intens, și care să aibă ca finalitate o prezentare publică. Participarea la prezentarea finală va fi opțională, cursanții fiind însă încurajați sa experimenteze ceea ce ar putea deveni „prima întâlnire cu publicul”.
Cursul va include exerciții tehnice, improvizație, libertate de exprimare, joc, relaxare și respirație, combinând elemente de dans contemporan cu influențe de jazz, hip-hop și muzicalitate, care să îl aducă pe dansator în fața propriei persoane, liber, dezbrăcat de gânduri și pregătit să își exprime sentimentele prin mișcare.”

Judith State | BIO
Dansatoare profesionistă și coregraf emergent, cu o pregătire de bază în dansul clasic și licență în limbi străine, Judith este într-un continuu proces de schimbare și asimilare, încercând să experimenteze și să combine cât mai multe stiluri de dans, urmând cursuri de pregătire în țară dar și în afara ei.
A călătorit la New York unde a studiat 4 luni la Broadway Dance Center în cadrul programului internațional de pregătire ISVP, la Londra, Goteborg, în Germania și în Italia, având ocazia să abordeze și să aprofundeze stilurile hip-hop, street jazz, funk sau lyrical contemporary cu coregrafi precum Brice Mousset, Massimo Gerardi, German Jauregui, Inaki Azpillaga, Laura Aris, Francesca Harper, Dana Foglia, Billy Bell, Chris Hale, Derek Mitchell, Luam, Candace Brown, Jared Grimes, Chris Judd, Neil Schwartz sau Jared Jenkins. În 2014 a fost bursier danceWEB, în cadrul ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival, printr-un Wild Card oferit de Asociația 4Culture.
În țară a dansat în spectacole ale Teatrului Național București și ale Teatrului de Operetă “Ion Dacian”. În prezent colaborează cu Teatrul Odeon în spectacole de musical, dans contemporan și teatru. Colaborează constant cu Răzvan Mazilu ca interpret și asistent de coregrafie.
Este inițiatoare a DaDans Project și Flashmob România, a co-coregrafiat primul sezon al emisiunii televizate X Factor, iar în 2014 acesta a realizat prima co-producție româno-germană împreună cu subsTANZ – companie condusă de Massimo Gerardi. La invitația Asociatiei 4 Culture, în cadrul Platformei de Dans Contemporan și Performance 2013, a susținut ateliere de dans contemporan cu elevii liceelor de coregrafie din Bacău și Cluj. Din anul 2013 predă constant cursuri de dans contemporan pentru începători și dansatori profesioniști la WASP – Working Art Space and Production.

“Working at WASP throughout the past two years with people who had started their meeting with dance from a zero point and observing their remarkable capacities of adaptation and evolution, I decided to continue these workshops with a new module in which the material will be structured progressively, having a more intense approach and being finalized with a public presentation. The participation in the final presentation will be optional, but students will be encouraged to experiment what could be their “first meeting with the audience”.
The workshop will include technical exercises, improvisation, freedom of expression, play, relaxation and breathing exercises, combining contemporary dance with jazz, hip-hop and elements of musicality, which will bring the dancers in front of their own selves, free, stripped of thoughts and ready to express their feelings through movement.”

Judith State| BIO
Judith State is a professional dancer whose mentality is directed towards a complex and diverse approach of movement as well as a harmonious fusion between musicality and introspection. Permanently searching for new experiences, she is interested in traveling, meeting and working with choreographers whose styles vary from contemporary to jazz, street jazz and hip-hop.
She travelled to New York where she studied four months at Broadway Dance Center in the frame of the international training program ISVP. She also followed training programs in London, Goteborg, Germany and Italy, having the chance to work with choreographers like Brice Mousset, Massimo Gerardi, German Jauregui, Inaki Azpillaga, Laura Aris, Francesca Harper, Dana Foglia, Billy Bell, Chris Hale, Derek Mitchell, Luam, Candace Brown, Jared Grimes, Chris Judd, Neil Schwartz sau Jared Jenkins. In 2014 she received a danceWeb scholarship in the frame of ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival through a Wild Card from 4culture.
As a performer she danced in productions of the National Theater from Bucharest and of the Operetta Theatre ”Ion Dacian”. At the moment, she collaborates with Odeon Thether in productions which include musicals, contemporary dance performances and theate pieces. She is constantly working with Răzvan Mazilu as a performer and an assistent of choreography .
Judith is the founder of DaDans Project and FlashMob Romania, she co-choreographed the first season of Romanian TV show X-Factor and in 2014 she realized the first Romanian-German co-production with subsTANZ – company directed by Massimo Gerardi. Invited by 4culture, she developed in the frame of the Romanian Platform of Contemporary Dance and Performance 2013, a series of contemporary dance workshops for the students from Choreography High schools from Cluj and Bacău. Since 2013 she is constantly teaching contemporary dance classes for professionals and beginners at WASP – Working Art Space and Production.
