Treasured in the Dark este cea mai nouă creație a coregrafului Thiago Granato. Solo-ul pornește de la o serie de conversații imaginare între coregrafii defuncți Lennie Dale* (1934 – 1994) și Tatsumi Hijikata** (1928 – 1986). Pentru a iniția această întâlnire, Granato propune o discuție articulată de propriul corp, despre un subiect comun abordat de cei doi: metamorfoza corpului.
Procesul are potențialul de a crea un ritual de însușire a două idealuri coregrafice diferite din trecut, provocându-le și apropiindu-le în aceași zonă de conflict.
Granato este un coregraf și performer brazilian stabilit în Berlin. Până acum, spectacolele sale au fost prezentate în țări precum Brazilia, Israel, Spania, Austria, Germania, Suedia, Olanda, Franța, Italia și Norvegia. De asemenea, a lucrat ca mentor al programului Bachelor of Arts Dance, Context, Choreography la HZT/UDK (Berlin, Germania, 2013). În 2013 și 2014 a fost selectat ca fellow al Akademie Schloss Solitude din Stuttgart (Germania), unde își documentează noul proiect coregrafic, Choreoversations.

Prezentare finală a rezidenței Life Long Burning, oferită de 4Culture, în parteneriat cu CCN de Montpellier L-R, coregrafului brazilian Thiago Granato. Un proiect găzduit de WASP – Working Art Space and Production, în cadrul programului de rezidențe și producții din 2014. Proiect cultural finanțat de: Life Long Burning, cu sprijinul programului Cultura 2007-2013 al Uniunii Europene, Ministerul Culturii, AFCN — Administrația Fondului Cultural Național și Centrul de Proiecte Culturale al Municipiului București — ARCUB, prin Programul Cultural București 555.

Treasured in the Dark is the newest creation of choreographer Thiago Granato which consists of a solo piece based on an imaginary choreographic conversation between the late choreographers Lennie Dale* (1934 – 1994) and Tatsumi Hijikata** (1928 – 1986). To initiate this meeting, Granato proposes a discussion, articulated by his own body, about what arises as a common characteristic among their works: the metamorphosis of the body.
This process has the potential to create a ritual of appropriation of two different choreographic ideals of the past and challenges their ideological traits, putting them together in the same area of conflict.
Granato is a Brazillian choreographer and performer based in Berlin. His work has been presented in countries as Brazil, Israel, Spain, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Holland, France, Italy and Norway. He also was mentor in the Bachelor of Arts Dance, Context, Choreography programme at HZT/UDK (Berlin, Germany, 2013). During 2013 and 2014 he was selected to be fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart (Germany) where he is researching his new choreographic project, Choreoversations.
