Adva Zakai

În cursul ultimilor 10 ani, Adva Zakai a experimentat diferite formate de performance, din postura de coregraf, performer sau curator. În 2010 a obținut o bursă de cercetare artistică în cadrul programului de studii postuniversitare a.pass din Antwerpen, unde a studiat influența abordărilor curatoriale în dezvoltarea unor noi formate de performance. A urmat studii de dans in Israel, iar mai apoi Mime School, Amsterdam (2000 – 2002). În ultimii ani a colaborat cu diferiți artiști pentru curatorierea unor evenimente participative, conferințe și festivaluri, cat și în cadrul unor workshopuri, vizite la școli și academii de artă și dans. În prezent este artist în rezidență la les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers (Aubervillers/Paris).

During the past 10 years Adva Zakai has been exploring various performance formats where she has acted as choreographer, performer or curator. During 2010 she obtained an artistic research grant, in the framework of the post master program a.pass in Antwerp, in which she researched the influence of a curatorial approach on the development of new performance formats. She pursued dance education in Israel followed by studies at the Mime School, Amsterdam (2000 – 2002). In recent years, she has been collaborating with other artists on curating participative events, conferences and festivals, as well as leading workshops and attending studio visits in art schools and dance academies. She is currently artist in residence at les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers (Aubervillers/Paris).
