Sergiu Matiș
Sergiu Matiș va fi prezent în cadrul eXplore dance festival #8 cu spectacolul ‘Keep it Real’ și un Coaching Project din programul Meet the Next Generation.
Sergiu Matiș s-a născut în Cluj-Napoca și a studiat dans la Liceul de Coregrafie din orasul natal (1991-2000). Și-a continuat studiile la Akademie des Tanzes din Mannheim. Cariera artistică a început-o la Tanztheater Nürnberg, iar în prezent trăiește și își desfășoară activitatea la Berlin, masterând la UdK în performance și coregrafie, și colaborând cu Colette Sadler-Stammer Productions, Oded Graf, Daniel Kok și Sasha Waltz & Guests Company. De câțiva ani activează și în calitate de coregraf. Printre spectacolele pe care le semnează se numară Human Nature, Landing, ThreeDoors.Search, 89.Grenzenlos, Ploaie de vară, Ending-dong, Duet, doom room.

Sergiu Matiș was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, studied dance at Liceul de Coregrafie in his hometown (1991-2000) and then at Akademie des Tanzes Mannheim as a scholarship- holder of the Tanzstiftung Birgit Keil. Starts his professional career at Tanztheater Nürnberg where amongst others he worked with Daniela Kurz, Stijn Celis, Jo Strømgren, Catherine Guerin, Rodolfo Leoni, Russell Maliphant, Lionel Hoche, Jo Kanamori, Rui Horta, Javier de Frutos, Andre Gingras, Jorma Elo. Workshops: William Nadylam (Peter Brook Company), Duccio Bellugi- Vannuccini (Theatre du Solei), Compagnie Alias- Geneva, Julien Hamilton, Susan Klein, Jeremy Nelson, Joao Fiadeiro. Since 2008 living and working in Berlin with Colette Sadler-Stammer Productions, Yossi Berg, Oded Graf, Philip Bergmann, Daniel Kok and joined the Company Sasha Waltz & Guests for several productions. Own creations: Human Nature, Landing, Three Doors.Search, 89.Grenzenlos, Ploaie de vara, 5 short pieces for Tanzkunst at Neues Museum Nürnberg, Ending-dong, doom room, Duet.
