Nu e foarte greu de remarcat faptul că peisajul de dans contemporan și performance autohton este presărat de creatori mai mult decât de interpreți/performeri. La fel de ușor se poate observa o apetență din ce în ce mai crescută care vine din sfera non academică de dans, să-i spunem așa, pentru workshopuri și proiecte de profil. Dat fiind numărul redus de producții de dans/ performance în Romania, bugetele restrânse alocate acestui domeniu care nu permit proiecte cu mai mult de 3-4 interpreți și multe alte lacune și găuri în infrastructură, nici viitorii profesioniști nu au prea multe oportunități de-a fi activi. Formatul pe care-l propun vine în continuarea inițiativei “Întâlnirilor de gradul doi” (un program intensiv de ateliere de dans și performance realizat în 2010) și este creat cu intenția de-a oferi dansatorilor/perfomerilor ocazia de-a se implica într-un proiect mai consistent decât un atelier de o săptămână și anume participarea într-un spectacol. Direcțiile de lucru se vor axa la început pe propriile cercetări artistice, mai recente sau mai vechi cum ar fi: plăcerea în mișcare, empatia kinestezică, practici de somatic work, experiential anatomy, authentic movement, dansul terapeutic, improvizație cu text și miscare, relația dintre exprimarea fizică și cea verbală, lucrul cu percepția/imaginația, estetica emoției, reprezentare și convenție scenică, interacțiune umană, roluri, dramaturgii, convenții sociale și calitățile lor de-a fi performate, dansul și relevanța lui socială și politică etc. Corpul va fi principalul generator de mișcare, sunet, senzații, emoții, cuvânt, automatisme motrice și verbale, gânduri, reflecții și analize.

It’s not hard to notice that the local contemporary dance and performance scene is filled more with creators than performers. One can easily observe as well a growing appetite of the non-academic dance sphere, if we can call it that, for workshops and projects. Given that the number of dance and performance productions in Romania is reduced, tight budgets dedicated to this area do not allow projects with more than 3-4 performers and many more voids in the infrastructure, future professionals don’t too many opportunities to be active. The format I am proposing comes in sequence of the initiative “Second Degree Meetings” (an intensive program of dance and performance workshops from 2010) and is created with the intention of offering dancers/performers the chance to get involved in a more substantial project than a week-long workshop. The working methods will focus in the beginning on my own artistic research: pleasure in movement, kinesthetic empathy, somatic work practices, experiential anatomy, authentic movement, therapeutic dance, text and movement improvisation, the relationship between physical and verbal expression, perception/imagination work, emotion aesthetics, scenic representation and convention, human interaction, roles, dramaturgy, social conventions and their qualities of being performed, dance and its social and political relevancy etc. The body will be the main generator of movement, sound, sensations, emotions, words, verbal and movement automatisms, thoughts, reflections and analysis.
