We are the monsters este un performance cu și pentru copii. Creat în decembrie 2011, spectacolul a beneficiat de numeroase rezidențe și prezentări; Performance-ul durează 25 de minute și este urmat de un atelier participativ de aproximativ o oră, adresat copiilor cu vârste între 4 și 8 ani.
Obiectivul atelierului este de a folosi mișcarea, desenul, muzica live, imaginea și o recuzită diversă pentru a descoperi elementele ce determină monstruozitatea corpurilor, creând o legătură cu ceea ce participanții au văzut deja în spectacol.

Colette s-a născut la Glasgow în 1974. A urmat studii de balet la Scottish Ballet, apoi studii de licență în artă la Laban Centre din Londra. În 2002 a început să își dezvolte propria coregrafie realizând un număr de spectacole solo împreună cu CCA, TRAMWAY Glasgow și NRLA/New Territories festival. Din 2006 locuiește în Berlin și își promovează activitatea prin turnee în Europa. Pe lângă activitatea coregrafică, Colette lucrează ca freelancer, conducând workshopuri în cadrul unor instituții precum Royal Conservatoire Glasgow sau HZT Berlin (curs de licență).

We are the monsters is a performance with and for children. Created in December 2011, the performance was created through numerous residencies and presentations; the performance lasts 25 minutes and is followed by a participatory workshop of about 1 hour, for children aged 4 to 8.
The aim of the workshop is using movement, drawing, live music, images and props to explore the Idea of what makes bodies different or monster like creating a link with what participants have just seen in the performance.

Colette was born in Glasgow in 1974. She trained in Classical Ballet at the Scottish Ballet, then completed a BA (Hons) at the Laban centre London. In 2002, she began to develop her own choreographic work creating a number of solo works in collaboration with CCA, TRAMWAY Glasgow and NRLA /New Territories festival. Since 2006 she is based mainly in Berlin and regularly tours her work to festivals and venues across Europe. Alongside her choreographic work, she works on a freelance basis giving workshops at institutions including the Royal Conservatoire Glasgow and HZT (BA course) Berlin.
