Un dineu se transformă într-o aventură de dimensiuni macro- și micro-cosmice. Imaginile produse în timp real de camera video controlată de dansatori conduc spre lumi paralele bizare guvernate de decorul organic. Metodele de filmare, alături de contorsionările acustice, evocă metaforele grădinilor baroce și a micilor bucurii pământești.
Ca în romanul Locus Solus, în care poetul Maître Canterel își ghidează invitații prin diferite decoruri, Deep Dish etalează frumusețea și decadența existenței umanane, care stă să dispară. Seria The Perfect Garden, semnată de Liquid Loft în colaborare cu artistul plastic Michel Blazy, abordează motivul grădinii ca expresie a luptei omului pentru control și evadările inutile din propria efemeritate — o imagine a creșterii și proliferării care conduce mereu la lucruri noi.
O figură remarcabilă a dansului contemporan austriac, Chris Haring are un background în muzică, psihologie și dans. Fost membru al DV8 Physical Theater, Nigel Charnock și Willi Dorner, el a fondat Grenztanz Festival în 1995 și a co-fondat multiplu-premiatul Liquid Loft în 2005, împreună cu muzicianul Andreas Berger, dansatoarea Stephanie Cumming și dramaturgul Thomas Jelinek.Activitatea lor „descrie corpul într-un limbaj cibernetic” și reflectă asupra experienței schimbărilor noastre de percepție și la nivel corporal, inter-conectând direct dansul contemporan cu alte forme de artă contemporană, pentru a crea rezultate coezive, atotcuprinzătoare. Fondat în 2005 de coregraful Chris Haring, muzicianul Andreas Berger, dansatoarea Stephanie Cumming și dramaturgul Thomas Jelinek, Liquid Loft interconectează dansul contemporan cu alte forme de artă contemporană pentru a crea o formă de artă nouă, atotcuprinzătoare.

A dinner party turns into an adventurous ride through the dimensions of macro- and microcosms. The live-images of a handheld camera, directed by the performers, lead through bizarre parallel worlds of organic objects. Methods of film-making, along with acoustic contortions, evoke metaphors of baroque gardens, earthly delights and their inevitable collapse. A society driven by longing and curiosity, flamboyantly but also callously celebrates its own transience in the manifold dimensions of reality, blown up on a big screen. In this still-life, all movement and human behavior is inexorably absorbed by the opulence of nature.
As in the novel Locus Solus, in which the polymath Maître Canterel guides his invitees through different landscapes, one encounters in Deep Dish the beauty and the decadence of a human existence that soon will perish. In the Perfect Garden Series by Liquid Loft in collaboration with the fine artist Michel Blazy, the motif of the garden is an expression of the human striving for control and their futile escapes from their own transience, but also an image of growth and proliferation that constantly leads to the development of something new.
A remarkable Austrian contemporary dance persona, Chris Haring has a background in music, psychology and dance. Former member of the DV8 Physical Theater, Nigel Charnock and Willi Dorner, he founded the Grenztanz Festival in 1995 and co-founded the multi-prized Liquid Loft in 2005, together with musician Andreas Berger, dancer Stephanie Cumming and dramatist Thomas Jelinek. Their work “depicts the body as a cybernetic landscape” and reflects the experience of changes in our perception as well as our bodies, interconnecting contemporary dance directly with other forms of contemporary art, in order to create a cohesive all-embracing piece of art. Founded in 2005 by choreographer Chris Haring, musician Andreas Berger, dancer Stephanie Cumming and dramaturgue Thomas Jelinek, Liquid Loft interconnect contemporary dance directly with other forms of contemporary art, in order to create a cohesive all-embracing piece of art.
