Cătălin Crețu’s workshop will explore and explain the possibilities of transforming body movements and gestures into sound and image through the intermediation of technology.
Starting from his own art-works, interactive control techniques of audio-visual processes will be presented in real-time. The audience is invited to actively participate, to get in touch and experiment with the fascinating world of sensors.
Cătălin Crețu is a composer, multimedia artist and researcher & a founding member at the Center For Electro-Acoustic and Multimedia Music of the National University of Music in Bucharest.
Cătălin Crețu is invited in the context of the second edition of X Platform, organized by 4Culture Association, in coproduction with WASP – Working Art Space and Production, Tangaj Dance and Life Long Burning, in collaboration with ExperimentalProject and curated by Olivia Nițiș and Ciprian Ciuclea.
