“The desire of the project is to step out of the mechanism of the spectacle and place the choreography inside the spectator’s body. The piece uses, exploits and gently deconstructs the ideologies of development present in body awareness and in our society.”

In her work, Anne Juren, tries to expand the contextual boundaries of the term choreography in engaging the body in different states of physical, sensorial, kinesthesic and mental experiences, questioning the boundaries between private and public spheres. Her pieces have been extensively presented in national and international theatres and dance festivals. Since 2013, Anne Juren is a Feldenkrais® practitioner and she is currently doing a PhD in choreography at UNIARTS Stockholm University of the Arts.
