Meet the Next Generation (MNG) – a program dedicated to supporting and promoting young choreographers and dancers across Europe, will continue in 2013 with a series of coaching, research and choreographic creation activities.
Organized by 4Culture and WASP – Working Art Space and Production, Meet the Next Generation is an annual program which includes coaching, mentoring and choreographic research, with the aim of supporting and promoting a small group of well-chosen young dancers and choreographers.
In the frame of MNG 2013, 15 participants will benefit from free access to workshops, coaching programs and performances, they will receive artistic guidance, administrative and logistic support. This will support their professional development in a creative and dynamic environment, at an international level. Their personal works will be presented to the audience and will be followed by public feedback sessions.
The aim of the program is to create new performances/installations that will be produced by 4Culture and WASP and presented at WASP – Working Art Space and Production, during 2013-2014.
The program will include 3 modules with the following structure: individual research and mentoring (5 hours/day), coaching (3-4 hours/day).
Module 1: October 07 – October 20
Coaches: Sergiu Matis (Romania/Germany) & Mila Pavicevic (Croatia) – creation and dramaturgy techniques, Alessio Castellacci – sounding bodies | moving voices

Module 2: October 21 – October 30
Coach: Madalina Dan (Romania) – choreographic composition and improvisation, Eduard Gabia (Romania)

Module 3: October 31 – November 10
Coach: Marieke Helmus (Olanda) – video-dance
Mentor: Paula Onet (Romania)

Deadline for applications:
- October 5 (for Romanian artists), module 1, 2 and/or 3
- October 15 (for European artists), module 2 and/or 3
We cover:
- transport (national – for Romanian artists and international – for international artists), accommodation and perdiem (for international artists)
Participation fee for Romanian artists:
- 350 RON/ full program (3 modules).
Payment can be made in 2 installments. First installment (175 RON), by October 11, second installment (175 RON) by November 10.
- 150 RON/ individual module
Participation fee for foreign artists:
- 150 EUR/module
- 200 EUR/ both modules (2&3)
The registration fee is payed a day before the start of the workshop, at WASP, between 10:00 – 17:00.
Paymenyt can be made by October 20.
We reserve the right to offer a limited number of wild cards to selected participants.
